Commercial
Ocala Warehouse Redevelopment
This 5.50 AC site was previously an RV dealership with nearly 70% coverage of existing pavement. The site is being retrofit with a 20,000 SF warehouse and the required stormwater management system. It has been fully permitted and awaiting construction
Residential
Montgomery Village
This vacant 3.00 AC site is being developed into a Cottage Home Community providing affordable single family rental housing in Altamonte Springs, FL. The site has a 100 FT power line easement that takes up 1.00 AC of the site, so Wood Engineering, LLC had to provide creative solutions for the site layout to maximize the buildable area for the client. The project currently is in the Preliminary Development Plan stage with the City of Altamonte Springs.
Religious
Guadalupana Mission Hall
The Guadalupana Catholic Religious Center is planning to build a 3,000 SF community hall building on their 8.00 AC site in Marion County, which is part of their growth plan for the existing church complex. Wood Engineering, LLC has worked with the client and other design professionals to develop the site layout for the new building, create construction documents and make permit submittals. The permit process is underway and should be fully permitted shortly.
Restaurants
Sonny’s BBQ Drive Thru
This existing Sonny’s BBQ restaurant is being retrofit with a new drive thru lane, by-pass lane, and new drive thru window. In an effort to minimize site work costs, the existing pavement will be restriped to establish the new drive thru lane, by-pass lane and new parking spaces. Wood Engineering, LLC worked closely with the project owner, site GC and local municipality to arrive at a solution that satisfies the client need while meeting the local municipalities minimum requirements.

About Us
Stephen Wood, P.E., is the founder and President of Wood Engineering, LLC, established in 2022. He earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Central Florida in 2005 and began his career in land development consulting. Stephen later expanded his expertise while working with a Florida power utility company, where he designed and permitted substation facilities across the state. With 20 years of combined experience in land development and utility infrastructure, Stephen provides clients with the knowledge and guidance needed to successfully navigate their projects
